CH Group constructed a mechanised borehole for the Tong Community in the Karaga District of the Northern Region.

Prior to construction of the borehole, the community’s source of water was from hand-dug wells, streams, and harvested rainwater. Some of these sources were contaminated.

Instead of taking multiple trips down the hill to the dam, locals now invest the time saved for work resulting in increased productivity. Children are also less tired during school hours and spend more time studying.
