Nankpanzoo is a small community off the Tamale-Bolgatanga road with 400 people, mostly farmers who mostly depended on rainwater, hand dug wells and streams for water.
Some of these sources were mostly contaminated resulting in illness across the community. The borehole project was initiated urgently to provide access to clean and healthy water.
On completion, the borehole was handed over to the District Assembly for supervision. A committee was set up to ensure the maintenance and sustainability of the borehole.
