Purpose of the Job
The incumbent will report to the General Manager and oversee the planning and execution of all preventive and corrective maintenance activities and upkeep operations of Denton’s properties. The Maintenance Manager will organize, supervise, and coordinate all maintenance personnel and maintenance service providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train and ensure the professional capabilities in the maintenance department.
  • Allocate workload and supervise maintenance staff.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment to maximize.
  • Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
  • Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues..
  • Check all building systems to ensure functionality and proper operation
  • Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair.
  • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
  • Develop project budgets and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Implement cost control measures to optimize project expenditures.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards for all projects to meet or exceed industry benchmarks.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Stay informed about relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ensure all interventions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
  • Track equipment and material usage to ensure proper use
  • Reporting and records.
  • Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on maintenance issues, challenges, and outcomes for review by the General Manager.
  • Maintain comprehensive property/maintenance documentation for reference and audit purposes.
  • Ensure health and safety policies are established and complied with.


Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in electrical, mechanical, or building services engineering.
  • Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, BMS, generators, etc.


Experience

  • Proven experience as a maintenance manager (5 years minimum) in a similar role.
  • Experience with computer maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Experience in planning and overseeing maintenance operations.

  • Ability to keep track of activity reports and supervise geographically spread teams.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in supervising and motivating teams.
  • Honesty and integrity are desired attributes in this role.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Time-conscious, reliable, and very punctual.
