Purpose of the Job
We are looking for an experienced Property Manager to oversee our diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, advanced technical skills, and a proven track record in property management. This role requires a proactive problem solver who can uphold high standards of property management and improve tenant satisfaction.

This position reports directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of assigned commercial and residential properties, ensuring optimal functionality and appearance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with tenants, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Oversee maintenance activities, schedule repairs, and ensure that properties are well-maintained and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Prepare and manage property budgets, and ensure timely CAM collection, rent collection, and expense management.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of property management staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Implement and leverage property management software and other relevant technologies to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with local laws, safety regulations, and company standards.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and service providers, ensuring quality and cost-effective services.


Qualifications

  • A degree in property management, real estate, business administration, or a closely related field.


Experience

  • Proven experience in property management with at least  five (5) years) , with a strong focus on both commercial and residential properties.


Knowledge, Skills & Behavioural Competencies

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with tenants, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in property management software and other relevant technology; technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and handle unexpected situations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
