Purpose of the Job
The incumbent will be responsible for the delivery of projects from proposal through planning and design to physical completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee to the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific projects with specified deliverables.
Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
Identify resource and equipment requirements, efficient capacity planning, and manage software and hardware availability.
Lead the execution of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Lead, manage, and mentor the project team, providing clear direction and support.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, and clients.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the project team.
Prepare, monitor, and control the project budget, ensuring all financial targets are met, and costs are managed effectively.
Ensure financial health of projects by controlling costs and managing risks and delivering within approved budgets.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks, ensuring that mitigation strategies are in place.
Develop and implement contingency plans to minimize project risks and address issues promptly.
Establish and maintain project management processes and standards to ensure projects meet required quality standards.
Conduct regular project reviews and implement necessary improvements.
Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
Prepare and present project reports to senior management and other stakeholders as required.
Ensure all projects comply with legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, reports, and records.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the project team.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to enhance project delivery and efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. A master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.

Experience

Proven experience as a lead Project manager with Minimum of five (5)years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
Strong understanding of budgeting, financial management, and cost control.
Ability to identify, assess, and manage project risks effectively.
The position may involve occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
This role is typically site-based.
